Tymperleys is a unique Tudor building surrounded by a walled garden in the heart of Colchester, Essex.
You can hire the entire venue or just the first floor for the day, the evening, or both.

At Tymperleys you can hire the entire premises, giving you exclusive use for the whole day. Alternatively, you can just use the private rooms on the first floor. You can hire the place for the day or the morning, afternoon or evening. We will be delighted to help work out which is the best option for you.
Tymperleys is a restaurant that is open daily from 10am to 5pm. The restaurant has three rooms on the ground floor and additional capacity outside in the Walled Garden.
The rooms on the first floor are dedicated to private events, and can seat up to 45 people.
Our spaces work as well for small, intimate weddings as they do for the larger celebration.
This give you exclusive use of Tymperleys for the day including the gardens with the capacity of up to 45 people for the Ceremony followed by up to 45 people for a sit-down meal. and can still look just as nice for 15 people. If numbers are allowed to grow, then we have the space to change with the regulations.
