Welcome to Tymperleys

Tymperleys was taken over in December 2025 by Ilhan Sahinoglu, Head Chef and owner. As a beloved tea room in Colchester, Tymperleys benefits from Ilhan’s extensive hospitality experience, having worked in a variety of roles over many years. He leads menu creation, kitchen operations, and overall management alongside his wife, Semra. Together, they bring over two decades of hospitality and business expertise, gained from running ventures and events in multiple locations.

Opening times:

Winter (October – March):
Monday to Friday: 10:00 – 16:00
Saturday: 10:00 – 17:00
Sunday: 10:00 – 16:00

Summer (April – September):
Monday to Sunday: 10:00 – 17:00

Closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
