Tymperleys is the perfect place for such an intimate, special day. We offer an historic venue for up to 45 people in the day with more in the evening.

Steeped in history, with beautiful corners for lovely photographs, we can offer you both a wedding ceremony and a wedding breakfast.

Tymperleys is licensed for Wedding Ceremonies and has a separate room for a Wedding Reception for up to 45 people. We can offer a Champagne Afternoon Tea or a full blown Wedding Breakfast. We have a nice selections of wines and Champagne and can set up a bar if wanted. The wooden floors, beams, tapestries and plaster work create a unique romantic atmosphere.

Tymperleys is over 500 years old and is located in the heart of old Colchester, Essex. It sits in its own walled Garden, through the archway on Trinity Street.

You can hire the first floor or the whole place. You can come for the morning, afternoon or stay on into the evening.
