This Is My Theatre are back, this year with a Summer Shakespeare – their adaptation of William Shakespeare’s much-loved story – packed with music, magic and plenty of mischief – will be sure to warm hearts and spread joy.
The woods outside Athens are busy this Midsummer night.
Four young Athenian lovers are lost, Oberon and Titania, the king and queen of the fairy-folk, are quarrelling and a group of craftsmen (who also happen to be some not-so-very-talented actors) are meeting in secret to rehearse their play.
With its many parts, Shakespeare’s story of love, mistaken identity and magic has remained popular with audiences across the world. Their critically acclaimed productions return this Summer to delight audiences again!
Bring your own chairs and picnic rugs.
The temperature will drop as the evening draws in. It is suggested you bring a blanket or warm coat.
The production will go on whatever the weather. If it rains waterproofs are much better than umbrellas.
